俳優としても活躍しているLAの Kiana Ledé のファースト・スタジオ・アルバムです。

現代の R&B を象徴するようなスロウで少しダークでありながらも、メロウとソウルも同居しているような、素晴らしいアルバムです。

Kiana はアフリカン、アメリカ原住民、メキシカンが混じっている、これもまた現代の US を象徴するような出自のようです。本来私たちはホモ・サピエンスという種1つであって、人種とか関係ないんですけどね。でも US はそれが差別につながって問題なわけです。
カリフォルニアのレモアという、LAでもサン・フランシスコでもない、その中間で生まれているので、それほど裕福ではなかったのかもしれません。

2011年からプロとして音楽活動を始め、いくつかの EP を経て、これがデビュー・アルバムになります。
Ari Lennox や Lucky Daye、6lack などのゲストを迎え、堂々のパフォーマンスです。
打ち込みだけではなく、アコースティック楽器も使い、サウンド的にも心地よいものになっています。
